No one really knows what happened to the ‘Treasure Ships’ of the Templar Knights, or the whereabouts of those knights who fled Europe; only speculation and conjecture.

News for our Times

When we pick up the newspaper; or turn on the radio, television or other electronic device you might use to hear newscasts; the tell-tale signs of the ‘End of Days’ come to life on the page, or in our hearing of those signs. How close are we from using a day’s wages to buy a loaf of bread (Rev. 6:6)? How close are we to world-wide economic disaster? The Euro is causing the ‘European Confederacy’ to solidify, while China is manipulating their money to drive the Uncle Sam to his knees. It seems that we are living on the edge of prophetic reality. What will tomorrow bring?

The Apostles believed that Christ would return in their lifetime. We could worry ourselves into a frenzied state of anxiety and panic attacks. Matthew 6:34 tells us that we should not worry because tomorrow will take care of itself. I will say the one bit of news I look for each day is if the ‘Dome of the Rock’ mosque is still standing on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. I so appreciate the Editor of the Jewish Voice Today magazine; September/October 2011 Issue Volume 54/Number 5; where the cover depicts the Jewish State, the divided city and the ‘Dome of the Rock’ mosque in red crosshairs. To me, this is the sum of all prophecy. The say will come when Nation Israel will rebuild the Temple and that event will usher in the ‘Tribulation Period’. It will happen so quickly with such precision and coordination that the world will flock to see it. They will look upon the beautiful building with reverence and awe. Then the ‘Two Witnesses’, Elijah and Enoch, will return in order to confront Lucifer in the Temple before many witnesses and the nations. Could that date be December 21st, 2012? I don’t know.

The Scripture says that no one knows the day or the hour of Christ’s return (Matthew 25:13). It will be up to Father God to send the Son to retrieve His children and reckon the books. I am comforted by this thought, while I know others cannot find the love that comes from God.

What am I planning on doing on December 21st, 2012?

It will be the Friday before Christmas, so the school kids on my bus will most likely have a half day of school and my family will be at their company Christmas parties. It will be quiet when I walk through the door and grab a hot drink on the way to my office to finish the ‘Christmas Sermon’. Snow will be falling gently just outside the Gothic Window and I would consider the magnificence of the love that sent salvation to a lost and dying world that did not deserve eternal life in Glory. The heavens opened only for a brief time, so that we might know that love and elect Christ for ourselves through His perfect atonement and stand with Him in the ‘Arc of the Resurrection’. The intercom will sound and break the silence of these thoughts. Christmas has come to visit us once again and all is well.
